I great fully attended Lori McNees Workshop as an alternative to a canceled workshop I had previously signed up for. Upon the ironic event that she had room for me and was willing to take such an inexperienced artist.. began the most unique ventures of my life! I traveled to Lucca, Italy.. alone to attend a plan aire class with Lori specifically with the use of oil paint…..which I had never used.
I mailed all my supplies a month previous to the workshop. They never arrived..
I had never painted landscapes and moreover.. just started painting 2 years prior.
I had only followed and researched one other artist. With all these fears.. and uncertainty
… my workshop with Lori and her assistants has been a building block for my openness,
diversity, and acceptance to the art community.. It was totally a once in a lifetime facet of my passion I’ve come to find!
It was of course … beautiful… but the acceptance and realization that I was able to “fit in” in a foreign place.. with foreign people … with
this insecure talent I have found the nerve to show… It was a Priceless Experience!!!
